Hi!

My name is Micailah; I am a college graduate, artist, and graphic designer. I have my Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts from Middlesex Community College and am working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic/ Information Design at Central Connecticut State University. In my graphic design education, I have gained experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, Acrobat, Lightroom, and Animate. Also, as a result of my art education, I have experience in a variety of traditional art forms as well, including pencil drawing, watercolor, oil paint, charcoal, ceramics, and even cut paper.

In 2019, I helped design a poster for Middlesex Community College’s art show and created event graphics for LifeWay Church. I have also created logos for two local bands to display on social media/ in promotions, a logo/ social media profile picture/ banner set for a plant business, a website promoting kidney donation, a business card for a small business, a logo/ sticker design for a music group, and digital illustrations for an online shop’s merchandise. My current goal is to gain experience through and freelance work and personal projects, and then use my skills to provide clients and businesses with graphics/ promotional imagery.

When I’m not designing, you’ll most likely find me watching foreign dramas or learning choreography to my favorite songs. I enjoy writing as well, and I achieved the National Novel Writing Month award in 2017 and 2018.
